It's official! We got the e-mail of where we are going- Yangzhong, Jiangsu Province. We will go to the Yanzhong experimental school teaching elementary to Jr. High kids. We'll leave Aug. 21st, spend a week in Beijing, and get situated in our apartment in Yangzhong on the 29th. I was so excited to get the e-mail that I was squealing for joy. We are looking forward to being able to leave the country and experience new things and new people. We were talking about the food that we will be able to eat and we are both excited to try new things, but nervous at the same time. Jon will love it because he just can't get enough Chinese food.
We will be near our friends Alan and Heidi Green and we will probably get to know the other three girls that are going to be teaching in the same area pretty well. It finally seems a little more realistic that we are going now that we have a flight itinery and a destination.
As you can see, we will be visiting San Francisco, South Korea, and of course Beijing. On our way back we will also go through Shanghi.
It will be exciting to do all of this. I can't wait!

Jon and I have decided to post a blog about the adventures that we have. We thought it would be a fun way to document where we have been and let family and friends keep track of us. We hope that this can help us to communicate with you. We will be traveling a lot hopefully, so the best way to talk to us is probably electronically via skype, e-mail, or comments. Feel free to do any of these. If you need our information I will be sure to give it to you. We hope you enjoy. We know we will!
We are currently at school finishing up my last semester and Jon's second to last. We don't take too many trips yet, but we are looking forward to taking a trip to Idaho Falls with some friends for the fourth of July. I've never been to the show in I.F., but Jon says that it is pretty cool, so I am looking forward to it. We'll see if it beats last year's, sitting on top of the park tower in Kearney, NE and seeing all of the fireworks across the city. That was pretty awesome.
As many of you know, we are headed to China in the fall. We will be leaving Aug. 21st as far as we know. We kind of got some inside information about where we are going, but it is not official, it could change. We are supposed to be headed to Yangzhong, Jiangsu! We will be teaching 6-15-year-olds, along with 7 other teachers in our city. I am so excited to go! This is a video that shows some of the pictures and such of another man's visit to Yangzhong. Hopefully we will have pictures and videos up soon so that it's not from a different perspective.
Before we head to China though, we will be going to visit friends and family. We are hoping to go to New Mexico, Washington state, Nebraska, and of course Utah. We haven't figured out graduation plans just yet, but we will let you know.
